Time is vision after a stroke

Stroke patients who experience vision loss are often told recovery is impossible, but research from the University of Rochester offers hope. The study, published in the journal Brain, found that survivors of occipital strokes—strokes affecting the occipital lobe—retain some vision immediately post-stroke, which diminishes after six months. Early vision training /neuro optometric vision rehabilitation interventions, within the first three months, can help recover vision more effectively than later interventions.
